About Pregnancy

"Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end.
But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning."
- Winston Churchill

The outcome of each choice we make in life has an impact on the next choice and the next and so on. A pregnant woman finds herself emotionally, spiritually and physically bound to her male partner following the news of a successful pregnancy. A woman's pregnancy suddenly demands adult coping skills, adult dialogue and adult insight from both partners to prepare for any decisions which are to follow. The way in which the partners conduct themselves during this critical time of life will determine the strength of their characters and show in a very harsh light how prepared they are for the journey they will make together. This is the real deal.

"What is the 'morning after' pill?"
This is a short series of birth control pills and anti nausea medications which a woman's physician can prescribe. Just taking extra birth control pills without direction or counselling is a bad idea and can cause more harm than good. The extra pills are meant to make a womans uterus less fertile for implantation in the hours following unprotected intercourse.

"This girl I slept with says she is pregnant and the baby is mine!"
Time for a frank discussion with this woman. Offer to accompany her to the doctor or to Planned Parenthood for specific testing and counselling. If you have impregnated her, the two of you will need to make decisions together. The important thing is to be a stand-up guy and work through this difficult time until you reach a decision about this unexpected news.
